Light weight ball valve, free from corrosion and electrolysis
The TruDesign Position Monitored Ball Valve is designed and made in New Zealand for use in marine applications above and below the water line. The body of the Ball Valve is manufactured in glass-reinforced nylon composite with high impact and tensile strength resulting in a light weight unit, free from corrosion and electrolysis issues. The ball and sealing rings utilise a PTFE polymer to ensure a smooth action, and continuous ease of operation over many years. It's ideal for controlling inlet and outlet water requirements whilst monitoring their position from a centralised location onboard.
TruDesign Position Monitored Ball Valve Features:
- Manufactured from a glass-reinforced nylon composite: high strength, tough and lightweight
- Immune to corrosion and electrolysis: no corrosion or breakages, increased safety
- Electrically non-conductive
- Chemical resistant: impervious to diesel, petrol and antifouling paints
- UV resistant: will not degrade or discolour with ultraviolet light from the sun
- Large operating temperature range (-40° to +110°C)
- High quality surface finish: will not discolour with green film as similar bronze fittings do
- No electrical bonding
- Suitable for use on all hull types: aluminium, steel, wood or FRP
- The ball and sealing rings utilise a PTFE polymer to ensure a smooth action and minimal fouling of the internal ball
- The ball valve and can be locked in the closed position to comply with toilet waste outlet regulations
- Large operating range: suitable for all marine conditions from -40°C to +110°C
- BSP thread form
- Can be used in Engine Rooms

- U.V resistant: no degradation from the sun's ultraviolet rays
- 100% leak tested before leaving factory
- Approved by IMCI & Bureau VERITAS to ISO standard 9093-2 when used with TruDesign Skin Fittings
- Complies with ABYC H-27 when used with TruDesign ABYC collar and TruDesign Skin Fittings
