The Reel
The PENN Spinfisher 950SSM Reel incorporates many enhancements and upgrades from the first Spin Fisher SSM Reel Series. They now feature newly designed metal-bodies, an infinite anti-reverse system for improved performance and reliability, techno balanced rotor and leveline spool-wrap for fishing super braided lines and five sealed stainless steel ball bearings. Holding true to Penn tradition these reels are constructed to withstand the harsh saltwater environment, while providing you with a level of unsurpassed performance.
With its large line capacity, powerful drag system and durable frame the PENN Spin Fisher 950SSM Reel is the reel of choice by numerous NZ land based fishermen. Tried and true over decades of use there are only a handful of reels that have as much of a loyal support base as the Spin Fisher 950SSM.
The Rod
Designed to combine seamlessly with Fin-Nor Megalite Reels, the new Fin-Nor Megalite 1002HFS Rock LBG Spinning Rod features the perfect blend of quality guides, a graphite composite blank and an inserted solid tip providing plenty of power, responsiveness and durability. Large EVA grips allow you to grab tight and lean hard on the toughest fish in the sea. The two piece construction makes it easy to store and transport. The Fin-Nor Megalite is suitable for both bait and lure fishing, and the forgiving inserted solid tip is ideal for the rugged demands of boat fishing and engineered for big fish.
