The Suburban Temperature and Pressure Safety Relief Valve protects the water heater from excessive temperatures and pressure. if either condition develops, the valve opens automatically and discharges water to reduce temperature and pressure. This is a lead free compliant version of the OEM 161157 pressure relief valve.
