The Reel
More than a good luck charm the TiCA Talisman TG8000H Spin Jigging Reel was forged to deal with large predators like Kingys and GTs. With a maximum drag capacity of 30kg and designed for use with braid, this reel will handle anything the monsters lurking beneath you, can throw at it.
The TiCA Talisman TG8000H Spin Jigging Reel features a waterproof aluminium main body, cover, and rotor, and forged aluminium alloy spools. The main shaft, main gear and worm shaft oscillating system are all made from hardened stainless steel for strength, then encased in 14 sealed recision stainless rust resistant ball bearings (RRB) to keep it all running as smooth as silk. An instant anti-reverse roller bearing in the rotor, anti-twist line roller and a huge waterproof drag, keep the braid under control while fighting your fish.
The Rod
Originally designed for Japanese topwater fishing, the Tica Hoodlum Star 902 Spin Rod is perfect for casting stickbaits and poppers to chase hardy kingfish. This rugged rod utilises a light and strong 2 piece blank for easy, comfortable all day casting and power to subdue those bigger NZ kingfish. The heavy walled slimline blank joins inside the handle to maintain the rod’s perfect action. It’s finished with quality Fuji tangle free K series guides, graphite reel seat and ergonomically shaped slimline EVA foam grips. Light and powerful, the TiCa Hoodlum Star 902 Spin Rod is a true fishing weapon for the battle hardened master.
