The specialty of the 8000-P reel is PE3-4 Jigging. It will accommodate all types of jigging techniques.

Monocoque Body
MQ Body will take Saltiga to the next level. The MQ system does not require a body cover, instead using an engine plate to screw directly to the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water-resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.

G1 Duralumin Drive Gear
The larger diameter drive gear. Increasing the diameter by 12% and also increasing thickness reduces the amount of wear, including twist and deformation to both the drive and pinion gears. In comparison to 15 Saltiga, it is more than double the strength. New gear design and MQ Body makes 20 Saltiga the pinnacle of saltwater spinning reels.

Aluminium Air Rotor
More than twice as rigid. The newly designed aluminium air rotor has more than double the rigidity when compared to 15 Saltiga. It is also 50% more durable than the famous original Z series Saltiga of 2002.

The Rod
The Daiwa Spartan S100-4/6 Landbased Stickbait Rod brings next generation X45 technology delivering a technique-specific action that outcast, outperform and outclass all others.

Next Generation X45 takes everything to the next level, and is 25% more efficient than standard X45 technology, significantly reducing blank twist and distortion. With increased torsional stiffness, Spartan is able to resist blank twist during casting and jigging. This characteristic prevents the blank from losing stored energy during the cast, ensuring that every bit of force you put into your cast, is transferred through the blank and ultimately to your chosen lure, resulting in visibly longer casts and more responsive feedback.

The Spartan rod features HVF Nanoplus graphite blank, 3DX carbon to increase lifting power and V-Joint to increase joint strength. Equipped with Fuji stainless steel SiC guides and Fuji reel seats.

3DX - Multi-Directional Cross Wrap
3DX supports the lower power section of the rod by knitting densely packed carbon fibers in 3 directions to achieve a six wrap rectangular weave. Power through the blank under load is distributed evenly in all directions allowing it to maintain its profile and form. This process confines the rod's power to the lower section of the rod, increases power, eliminates blank twist and collapse, all the while reducing angler fatigue.

Bias construction within the ferrule allows it to flex with the rod, eliminating the weak, unbending spot caused by ordinary ferrules. The result of this revolutionary technology is a multi-piece blank that matches the performance of one-piece blanks in flex, power and responsiveness.

X45 - Eliminates Blank Twist
Developed to eliminate blank twist and increase power, X45 features a Bias Wrap Construction, left/right 45 degree carbon weave within the blank. X45 radically improves rod strength and durability by eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form. The elimination of this twist allows a lighter, stronger and more power and sensitive rod to be made.

The Braid
The Daiwa UVF Saltiga Durasensor X8 +Si2 Braid is masterfully crafted in Japan using the latest Daiwa technology to produce a silky smooth, super thin line that’s perfect for a host of fishing scenarios. This 8-weave braided line features Daiwa’s muscle PE fibres for higher abrasion resistance and enhanced durability. Despite its extremely thin diameter, the Saltiga Durasensor X8 is super tough with fibres 4x more abrasion resistant than normal braided lines.

Not all braid coatings are created equal. The latest Daiwa Si2+ silicon coating impregnates the individual fibres rather than coating them for a longer-lasting finish which aids in hydrophobicity and line management. The Daiwa UVF Saltiga Durasensor X8 +Si2 Braid is available in larger sizes with traditional multicolour marker in large 300m spools. Perfect for chasing hard-fighting fish!
