Easy to use
The
Standard Horizon Explorer GX1800GB Marine VHF
Radio is designed to be used in International, USA,
Canadian and other Region Marine channels. The GX1800G can be
operated from 11 to 16 VDC and has a switchable RF output power of
1 watt or 25 watts.
The GX1800G is capable of DSC (Digital Selective Calling) ITU-R
M.493 Class D operation with a 66-channel internal GPS. Class D
operation allows continuous reception of Digital Selective Calling
functions on channel 70 even while receiving calls on the voice
channels. It also operates on all currently-allocated marine
channels and is switchable for use with International, USA or
Canadian regulations. Emergency channel 16 can be immediately
selected from any other channel by pressing the [16/S] key.
This unit is capable of being connected to the optional wired
SSM-70H (RAM4) micro-phone, which provides full remote control of
all VHF and DSC functions. It also includes an intercom feature
providing communication between the radio and the RAM4 microphone,
scanning functions, priority scanning, dual watch, DSC position
polling up to 6 vessels, high and low voltage warning, and
repeatability of received GPS location information.
Second Station RAM4 compatibility
Now compatible with Standard Horizon's latest second station
microphone RAM4, model SSM-70. All functions on the main radio can
now be controlled on the Second Station RAM4, this includes all
radio functions, DSC functions, and intercom features between the
radio and the Second Station.
E2O Easy to Operate Menu System
Redesigned with the operator in mind, the new Easy to Operate menu
system is now more intuitive than ever. Access all the menu
functions and settings with just a few simple steps. DSC calling
and DSC programming has never been easier.
Ultra Compact Easy Installation
Mounting a VHF radio has never been easier. The Explorer Series
VHF's have an ultra thin, compact rear case, only 3.3" in depth or
half the depth of comparable VHF radios on the market. The rear
case design also gives flexibility when flush mounting the radio in
tight areas or bracket mounting the radio by taking up less dash
space, and allowing more mounting options.
