Backing rods for jointing requirements
Sika PEF Backing Rod is pushed into joint gaps to form a uniform and firm base for controlling the depth of gun applied elastomeric sealants such as Sikaflex. Sika PEF Rod can be used for forming the base of vertical and horizontal joints
Sika PEF Backing Rod Features:

Sika PEF Backing Rod Specifications:
- Type: Closed cell polyethylene foam.
- Density: 37 kg/m3
- Colour: White
- Moisture absorption: Less than 1% after 7 days immersion in
water.
- Thermal conductivity: 0.035 W/m.k.
- Chemical resistance: Unaffected by oils, petrol, sewage and
most industrial chemicals.
- Service temperature: - 40°C to 70°C
