The Taimer XTC2 XTCII No.6 Fly Combo has everything you need to get fly fishing. It has the large, reliable design of the XTC2 Fly Reel, built to perform against the most challenging fish. The reel is paired up with the XTCII No.6 Fly Rod which is ideal for fishing in rivers and streams. This bundle also comes complete with a CDX Combo Fly Line and 20lb Backing. You’ll be all set and ready to fish!
The Reel
The large arbour Taimer XTC2 Fly Reel is built with practical performance in mind. Large diameter cork drag with a low startup inertia creates a smooth feel. The drag is tightly sealed by an additional high density ABS cap to keep out moisture and debris. It also features silent retrieve combined with a subtle line out clicker. Designed to allow for right to left hand conversion.
The Rod
The Taimer XTCII No.6 Fly Rod is a nice medium-fast action fly rod in a deep chestnut brown with gold trim - looks really smart. Great entry level rod with quality components and great action for streams and rivers.
The Line
The CDX Combo Fly Line WF6 Floater delivers dependable flotation and durability. Since this line floats, it's more versatile and allows you to use a dry fly that stays on top of the water.
The Backing
br> The FirstDart Best Cast Backing Flyline features special taper design proven over the years and coupled with different coating formulations allow consistent, precise and accurate casting along with a variety of densities.
