The Reel
The new Daiwa 21 Freams LT 2500 Light Tackle Spinning Reel is the first to feature the brand new ZAION V construction. ZAION V is an evolution of Daiwa's famous ZAION technology and enables the use of this material in reels much lower in price than ever before. ZAION V is significantly stronger than the previous Carbon Light material from the 18 Freams LT and will deliver a much more rigid body. ZAION V is also much lighter than traditional composite materials which also means the new Freams LT is not only stronger, but also much lighter. 21 Freams LT continues the global success of the previous model with Tough Digigear design and LT concept combining to produce a lightweight but powerful reel. Daiwa's ATD Drag produces smooth and consistent drag performance and the LC ABS spool and Airbail architecture means longer casts and less line trouble.
The Rod
The Daiwa Legalis 862ULFS Canal Soft Bait Rod brings high-end blank innovation together with value-driven componentry to offer a light tackle rod that delivers on a budget. Highly responsive, the Legalis' crisp action is achieved through a combination of a lightweight graphite material combined with Braiding X. Braiding X technology further enhances rod performance by increasing wall strength and reducing blank twist. By eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form, Braiding X allows thinner blank to be made, and a lighter, more dynamic rod to be created.
Quality Fuji stainless steel Concept O guides provide reliable casting performance and effective line management. A Daiwa Surround Hold reel seat maximises balance and sensitivity, while high-density EVA split grips bring in-hand comfort and control.
