The light-sensitive Seahorse Strobe Light starts flashing at sunset, enabling you and others to see your Kontiki at night.
Most kontiki strobelights fail because the top has been left loose and water gets in, either when the Kontiki is being washed or when it is launched into the surf. The Seahorse Strobe Light comes as a complete unit - which includes the base and the bulb. It can be removed from the Kontiki body by using a flathead screwdriver. Just screw the bulb on, place the screwdriver under the lip of the base, and leverage the base out of the body while pulling the strobe out of the body.
