Keen recreational angler, Alain Jorion of Gisborne, also has his Black Magic Freedom Grand Slammer Tuna Lure in pretty polly style. The white lumo, bright pink and reflective clear skirts add colourful accents to the dark blue head, greatly enhancing attractiveness and efficiency. The Freedom Grand Slammer is based on the legendary pattern Alain used to catch his record 473.2kg black marlin in February 2002, the seven-hour fight seeing him earn the NZBGFC's Old man and the Sea award as well as the trophy for the heaviest fish of the season.
