The orange-coloured body has never looked so good, and the Monocoque (MQ) technology delivers an all-round improved reel structure. The normal slide plate designed is removed, reducing potential ingress points for water and debris into the gearbox. Its body is IPX rated thanks to the elimination of the seam and the screws which traditionally hold the side plate to the main body assembly. Made from Daiwa's new ZAION V material, the reel's body can withstand the harsh destructive elements of saltwater fishing.
The Daiwa 21 TD Sol MQ 3000D Spinning Reel has a bigger gear and therefore has increased power, durability, and torque than competitor reels. Its rotor and bail design incorporates the ZAION Air Rotor technology, giving low start-up inertia, lightweight rotation and incredible performance. The reel also features Daiwa's frictionless MAGSEAL to prevent saltwater intrusion. A host of other technologies including Long Cast ABS spool structure, ATD drags and Twist buster II make this reel the most highly featured TD SOL since the release of this iconic orange series. Zaion Rotor
Daiwa’s ‘Air Rotor’ technology combines with the famous Zaion material to create a strong yet lightweight rotor with flawless shape to increase reel sensitivity and rotational balance.
Zaion V Body
A new generation of lightweight Daiwa’s resin and carbon material. The Zaion V material is both strong and incredibly lightweight.
Magsealed Body
Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel’s rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.
Monocoque (MQ)
A one-piece frame eliminates the use of traditional two-piece body & side plate construction. A single piece body utilises a screw-in engine plate to house the main gear, reducing flex and twist under load creating a sealed mechanism. The elimination of the side plate has also allowed for a more compact body design. MQ technology not only makes reels stronger & better sealed, but also more compact.
