Provides a permanent watertight seal
If you're planning to work on DIY boat/RV projects over the weekend, make sure you're using the products for the job. The Sikasil RTV Fast Cure Sealant is a 1-component fast curing silicone sealant which provides a permanent watertight seal to various substrates including glass and ceramics. It's specially formulated for use as a joint sealant in glazing applications, showers, baths, basins, refrigeration seals, outer flues and gaskets and aquariums.
Sikasil RTV Fast Cure Sealant Features:
- Simple and safe application
- One component, fast curing silicone sealant
- Acetic cure silicone sealant
- Provides a permanent watertight seal to various substrates
including glass and ceramics
- Remains flexible at low (-40°C) and high (150°C)
temperatures
- U.V. resistant
- Low shrinkage during cure

Sikasil RTV Fast Cure Sealant Specifications:
- Size: 300ml cartridge
- Storage and shelf life: Eighteen (18) months from date of
production if stored properly in original unopened, sealed and
undamaged packaging in dry conditions
- Application temperature: 5°C to 50°C
- Cure system: Alcoxy
- Chemical resistance:
Resistant to weak acids and alkalis, soaps and detergent
Not resistant to petrol and aggressive solvents - Water immersion: Sikasil RTV is suitable for joints continuously immersed in fresh or saltwater, provided that joint preparation and application are of the highest order, and the sealant is fully cured before immersion
(Note - Sikasil RTV will soften after prolonged immersion periods. Regular inspection is recommended.)
Note: A general rule of thumb for silicones for their cure rate is 1 day ~ 2mm (23°C, 50% r.h)
