Understated in looks yet outgoing in design and performance the Daiwa 21 TD Black MQ 2500-D Light Spinning Reel is elevated to another level with the release of the TD Black MQ. Combining Daiwa’s advanced ZAION V material with Monocoque body (MQ) design results in a TD Black reel that is lighter, stronger, and more precision-designed than ever before.
Central to the redesign are two new innovative technologies; Monocoque Body (MQ) and the brand new Zaion V construction - resulting in a lightweight yet rigid single piece body structure that enables the use of larger internal gearing components while also improving weather sealing.
Magseal and Tough Digigear
The addition of Magseal technology in the body further increases resistance to the ingress of dust, water, and salt to maximise longevity. While the new Tough Digigear is significantly stronger than previous gear designs thanks to an increase in the diameter of the main gear combined with an increase in individual gear teeth size.
Long Cast ABS (LC-ABS)
Casting performance has also been improved with the implementation of Long Cast ABS (LC-ABS) spool design. LC-ABS improves line flow from the spool, resulting in increased casting distances.
ATD Drag System
ATD drag system provides reduced start-up inertia and smooth reliable drag performance.
