The Reel
Daiwa's Airdrive design debuts in Legalis spin reels courtesy of the latest redesign of one of the brand's most value-packed spinning reel range. Sporting a new look, the Daiwa 23 Legalis LT 2500D (U) Spinning Reel's AIRDRIVE rotor and bail arm reduce the weight of each respective part, combining to greatly reduce the start-up inertia, producing that sought-after buttery-smooth rotation anglers crave.
A Zaion V composite body is impervious to the harsh saltwater elements and produces a rigid and sturdy frame to house the Tough Digigear drive system. Legalis has always offered some of the best bang-for-buck amongst the Daiwa range, now it's even better thanks to Airdrive Design.

Daiwa's new Airdrive Design, a four pillar (Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool and Airdrive Shaft) design concept that reduces weight, and enhances rotational smoothness and responsiveness to create a reel that is next level in both form and function.

The Daiwa Legalis 862ULFS Canal Soft Bait Rod brings high-end blank innovation together with value-driven componentry to offer a light tackle rod that delivers on a budget. Highly responsive, the Legalis' crisp action is achieved through a combination of a lightweight graphite material combined with Braiding X. Braiding X technology further enhances rod performance by increasing wall strength and reducing blank twist. By eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form, Braiding X allows thinner blank to be made, and a lighter, more dynamic rod to be created.
Quality Fuji stainless steel Concept O guides provide reliable casting performance and effective line management. A Daiwa Surround Hold reel seat maximises balance and sensitivity, while high-density EVA split grips bring in-hand comfort and control.
