Their flagship model, Exist has personified excellence throughout Daiwa's history, and now the Exist LT introduces even more ground-breaking Daiwa technology. This classic reel is made in Japan and marries the Light and Tough (LT) concept with a one-piece monocoque magnesium body. The combination of these two ground-breaking innovations guarantees the perfect balance between strength and lightness.

Lightnesst
The LT concept is all about shaving every last unnecessary surface of the reel. The futuristic design is characterised by aerated holes and bevelled cuts. The slit Air Handle is an emblem of this avant-garde range. Weight has been minimised with racing-car levels of precision while offering the stability of a magnesium metal body. The extreme weight saving means this reel is the ideal partner for rods with AGS guides and high-grade carbon.

Toughness
The Monocoque body is a one-piece design. The wide side plate boasts an extremely stable screw which has allowed us to fit a brand new drive gear occupying the entire surface space, designed in aluminium for even more cranking power. The drag is equipped with ATD technology and is 30% stronger than before: it now boasts a 5kg rating on the 2000 model and its enlarged button offers stability and total fighting control from the first run to the final lunge.

Durability
The build of the EXIST LT ensures its lifespan matches its excellence. The high-tech MagSealed oil is held in place by a magnetic field. It has been placed at the centre of the key mechanical elements. The MagSealed bearings either side of the drive gear boost the reel’s durability and guarantee fluid rotation over time.

Handling Comfort
MagSealed Oil powered by magnetised nanoparticles has been applied to the pickup roller as well as around the shaft. Set the handle to work and you'll feel how the soft rotation will redefine handling comfort.
