High strength reinforcement
Specifically designed for use with Norski Polyester Resin, the Norski Chopped Strand Mat is used as a strengthener or binder in many applications. 450 GSM (grams per square meter) is still relatively flexible matting and is widely stocked by distributors as it will bend around curves and corners but not to the same extent as the thinner 300 GSM version. Ideal when a bit more strength is required than the 300 GSM variant. This product is 1 square metre of 450 gram per square metre of matting.
The Norski Chopped Strand Mat has a powdered glue embedded in it which is activated when mixed with Norski Polyester Resin and the correct amount of catalyst. And whilst this mat can be used with Norski 421 Epoxy Resin, this isn't recommended as it takes a lot more resin to wet this mat thoroughly and the epoxy resin won't activate the embedded glue.
