The Reel
The PENN Spinfisher VII 10500 Spinning Reel features IPX5 sealing so whether it gets hit with a wave, or you let it ride in the spray all the way home, you don't have to worry about saltwater getting into the gearbox or drag system. The HT-100 drag washers are housed in a fully sealed spool to give the stopping power needed for big saltwater fish. A Full Metal Body and sideplate keep the CNC Gear System in precise alignment under heavy loads.
The Rod
More and more game fishermen are now travelling further a field to take on the largest tropical species. This poses a problem, as most boat rods are single or 2-piece, making travelling difficult. To solve this problem, the 24kg TiCA Expert 704 Travel Spinning Rod is made with a 4-piece blank and packs down to a neat 590mm to fit your luggage. It uses a multi purpose 2.1m blank, made with composite graphite construction and features an aluminium detachable butt, with spigot joints through the rest of the blank to retain a smooth curve in this powerful rod. The titanium oxide double-foot guides will cope with braid and the contoured EVA grips have finger grooves for comfort when the battle is underway. This rod will be equally capable when trolling lures or casting poppers with a TiCA Talisman spinning reel.
