The Galvanised Danforth Sand Anchor offers high holding power in sand and mud with an easy set. This sand anchor is suitable as a short term fishing anchor or for daily cruising. It sets quickly in most seabeds and offers good penetration in weed conditions. This kit comes complete with a high-quality rope and chain.

Choosing the Correct D-Shackle Size:
When buying an anchor for your boat, you will need the appropriate D-Shackle to connect the rope and chain to your anchor. The recommended D-Shackle size for connecting your anchor to your chain is to get the next size up from your chain size. So if the chain is 6mm then an 8mm D-shackle is recommended. If it's a 7mm chain then an 8mm or 9mm D-shackle is recommended, etc.
